Matching dresses

Tifton Zone conference  in douglas Ga. Sister Cottle and Sister Westbrook decided to wear matching out fits to the last 3 zone conferences. they both have darling clothes and look awesome in them. So the twins  wore thses out fits to the Last Zone conference held in Douglas Ga. It was so fun we stayed at the Lake House and had so much fun. I love these ladies. They are totally dcided to the gospel of Jesus Christ and  nothing is to hard, They love every one the meet and you feel like a life long friend when you are in there presence.

This was the Savannah zone conference, and Yes the poka dot , where the rage. even down to the matching red shoes that they both bought on line because they loved there black  one so  much. February 19,2016 was
MOM and DAD,  79th  wedding anniversity. Feb.19, 1937 .

This was the Macon zone conference and the start of weaing the matching dresses
these two beautiful ladies havd made our mission the best ever. But they are both leaving sister Westbrook april1,2016 And President and sister Cottle June 29, 2016 We get a new Mission President.
I guess god does not want us to get to comfortable.

Visit to Little Utah - near Douglas Ga

Little Utah was near Douglas Ga. this adventure happened after the Tifton Zone conference.
President Fussell took the whole office and Dr & sister Allgaier to these historic places.
this is what a tree looks like with moss hanging on it . It was right by the church. you don t want to touch moss it has lots of nasty critters in it.

This use to be the entrance to the chapel It had been moved from it orginal spot. and  some one had tried to live in it.

A grreat time was held by all There men went into the church, there was a broken down piano and many more treasures.

This was the front door of the Chapel at one time this look like a Temple to these people.

this was the cememtray that was behind the Chapel, the church was moved to another place about 1 mile away. It mention all the orginal member of the church that started the LDS church in the area.

Look like a Glorious place. Praises to God were once sang in the desired Chapel.

As the men were coming out of the building, some one took a picture of us. take a picture  surly  a  Kodak moment.

this is a picture of the Cemetery  Called Little Utah,  the Southern pioneer of the area are buried here. and there  descendants are now running the LDS Church , Many of there posterity have stayed faithful.

Visit to Cumorah in Douglas Ga

Our last zone conference  on February 26,2016, We were invited to spent the night at the Lake house of Timothy Fussell, 2nd counselor in the Mission Presidency. The whole office staff went down on Thursday the night be for so Pres Fussell could show us the church historical sites in  Douglas Ga.  We went to meet every one at Pres Fussell dentist office.Pres
Cottle and wife, and finlinsons headed out to the site of Cumorah. the first LDS church building in Douglas build in 1907.  Danny  and Tereas Soloman took us.they have moved the old church from it orginal  site. and the Cemetery remains. there
We are going in side the church . They wuse the old build until 1960. and these folks told us about remember the old building..

The Westbrook and the Landreau can later,  It took them longer to drive from Macon it is about a 2.5 hour drive. Douglas it about 50 miles from the Florida border.

Garth is taking the picture, In the back ground is the stage where they held classes. It building is in pretty good shape concerting  it is  over 100 years old.

This is the building as we drove up to it. there is a  little lake in the back ground that they used to baptize the members. It was such a beautiful day.

We worked out way over to the cementary , which is about 2 miles. It is well taken care of and generation of family member are buried  here.

This was our guide Danny and Tereas Solman this is there grave, and they all ready have there names on it. Tereas is the sister of President Fussell.

This was the back side  of the church, they moved it and placed in on legs to keep the highwater out.

this is Venice Finlinson, stand out in the cold, but having a great time.This is the fromt of the building and the steps were where the main door was. there was not running water in here so every one used a back  house.

This house had lost the fight with the Trees they are taking over.

Every town has a big town hall that looks so inpressive, this was  one of them

they clound in Georgia are so different , it is amazing how fast the move throught the sky in front of you.

Macon Zone Conference Feb. 23,2016

The Macon zone conference Car inspection. is held before every conference. the cars from the area  are brought in and checked compeletely. the Missionaries wash and wax the car. before they bring them in. Each companionship, inspect under the help of district leaders, and zone leaders,

My job is to set up the table, hand out the inspection sheet. give out supplies. Have a few snack for the early arrives to eat. they have to get up early to be there by 8:00. some have to drive for 2 hours. Elder Finlinson goes around and look at all the cars and  helps them check off the items on the list , this time Garth passed out all the Car registration sticker.
