We. arrived in Macon Georgia

Dear family we arrived in our new mission home it is very exciting we met Pres And Sister Cottle they are great people pres cottle loves horses and garth snd the pres have all ready decided to go to nauvoo when the missions are over and work as teamsters.

We are training with Bro and Sister Coles we take there place. There is a lot to know we have been lost a time or too but God is so good. And has helped us find our way home each time there is a great spirit of missionary work it is awesome god loves us all and our job is to help his child find the gospel so the can live with our Heavdnly Father  again. 😀😉😎

3. Tunnels of the rockies

the Mountains you cross to get  to  Denver are intense- this is one of the long the long tunnel you go through to get through the mountain.It was a long day  9 hours of the most beautiful  country you will  ever see. Yes the switch back  and one lane Roads and drop off were nerve racking. but Garth  handled me and the Roads in style. Miracle of the Day we get to Oakley Kansas and Hotel. we on in side and two rooms left. King beds and couches- so he says Are you a missionary, I told him yes. he was a missionary- so there are 2 members in Oakley and we meet Douglas Smith- so he gives  a $20 discount and the room , What are the chances."  God is Great"

The Trek Begins

The trek begins. Though with all the training and hitting the road. Our plan was to dring from salt lake to grand junction Co. We made it in 4.30 hours the road between price and grand junction is like death valley. Water is yhe key to. There  dryness. Miracle of the day Sri was our genie and helped us find the hotel. But as we entered the hotel alas no room in the inn - she called ahead to the next town a hour away - NO ROOM so the mirsclehappen she does have a room snd when we tell her it is our anniversity 10% discount. God is so good-

MTC HERE WE COME

We started our MTC adventure!
 They take such good care of the Senior Citizens, they have guides at every step of the way. I dont think you could get lost.  There are about 80 senior citizen in our group. Going to 80 different places. Our district has 4 couples in it.Newtons,s going to Blangldash India, Thomson going to London England, Nickles going to North Carolina and Finlinsons going to macon Georgia.

Read the Book of Mormon before we entered the MTC  !!

I just finished today and Garth did last week

We both have new focus as we read.( Missionary work) it is surprising how differently the  meaning of sciptures come into focus . Our dear Heavenly Farher gives is as many chances to repent and come back to him as we need. (Moroni 6:8).

It is given to every man to know good from evil.  Every thing that inviteth to do good and believe in Christ is of God. Ever thing that persuadeth men to do evil and believe not in Christ is of the devil.(Moroni 7:16-17). 

I testify to you all, that the Book f Mormon is true. It is a guide God prepared from the begining of time to come forth in our day to guide us. It testify of Christ,

I love you all, we each get to choose our paths . May we be wise in our choices.

2days and counting

Looks like all the mission preparation is coming to gether. Garth had his last appointment with Dr Wong in richfield heart is looking good. We have turn the bill pay over to Jenny . I guess she is ready ? Retired is not for the faint of heart.  but alas we are moving on  garth is about through with my honey do list and the suit cases are bulging at the seams. God has helped us every step ofthe way. Raising up people and friend to assist us. Thanks for allthe helpyou have given us - I am sure more will be coming .  My last task is getting my toe nails done !!! Today at 2:30. Wish me luck!

7days and counting

I don't know where the time has gone but we are 1week before MTC. We had another miracle this week. Garth has been having left jaw pain for years we have tried every thing . But friday 2 days before our fare well , garth jaw pain was at its worse. So julie say we should go see this new doctor who does accupincture . We called and we got in for a emergency treatment  Dr Mechum said that his specially was jaw pain. 

Great news his treatment worked  Garth is pain free after 4 treatment 2 left to go. it is a miracle. 

God is good.

Parting is such sweet sorrow

 This is the last car to leave- JeriAnn and Matt and Norah pulled out on friday morning at 1030.

Headed  for Vegas and the  RED EYE TO HOUSTON  kinda  brought a few tears to my eyes.

The week was perfect not fighting just down right good fun- good food, the Dutson Pond and sleepover at grandma'

Crazy days of summer

For a monent every one is gone. I have been thinking about the wonderful last two weeks. All our children have visited us we  have hugged every precious soul. Heavenly Father has been so good to us. We need to thank him for his blessings and help everyone we can. God is good
